A Church for San Diego.

A Family for You.

San Diego is filled with people who are busy, gifted, searching, carrying burdens, raising families, rebuilding their lives, and longing for something real.

242 Church exists for those who want more than religion or simple attendance.

More than a service.

More than inspiration.

More than religious activity.

We are a church for people who desire to encounter God, grow in Christ, build meaningful relationships, and discover the life Jesus has called them to live.

Whether you are new to faith, returning to church, raising a family, stationed in San Diego, studying nearby, or simply hungry for a deeper walk with God — there is room for you here.

Why 242 Church?

They Devoted Themselves.

Acts 2:42 says, “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”

That verse is not just our inspiration. It is our blueprint.

The Word : We are grounded in Scripture and centered on Jesus Christ.
Fellowship : We are building authentic community where people are known, loved, discipled, and strengthened.
His Presence : We create space for genuine encounters with God through worship, communion, surrender, and the work of the Holy Spirit.
Prayer : We believe prayer is not a ministry before the ministry. Prayer is the ministry.

What You Can Expect

When you visit 242 Church, you can expect heartfelt worship, biblical preaching, prayer, and a community that wants to know your name.

242 Church

Christ-Centered Living: Focuses on the foundation of faith.
Simple Devotion: Speaks to the core spiritual disciplines.
A Culture of Surrender: This is our response to His work on the cross, the presence of God and His Word through faith.

You do not have to have everything figured out. You do not have to pretend. You can come as you are and take your next step toward Jesus.

We are believing God to raise up a church in San Diego marked by humility, hunger, healing, discipleship, and the presence of God.

More of God. More Presence. More Prayer. More Jesus.

Everything we do flows from one conviction: that God is calling His people into a deeper relationship with Himself.

Our Four Pillars

Rooted in God’s presence and committed to His mission, we are a Christ-centered community devoted to spiritual growth, authentic relationships, and lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
